LEONARDO CHIODO, cello & DAVID MUNK-NIELSEN, piano

Young masters, Danish pianist David Munk-Nielsen and Finnish-Italian cellist Leonardo Chiodo, will perform together for the first time at the Lyceum Club.

The program will feature a diverse collection of spirited and expressive cello classics. The first half will feature Luigi Boccherini’s A major sonata Adagio and Allegro, Robert Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, op. 73, originally composed for clarinet and piano, and the enchanting “Pohádka” (fairy tale) by Czech composer Leoš Janáček.

The second half will feature one of the cornerstones of cello music: Ludwig van Beethoven’s Third Sonata for Piano and Cello in A major, op. 69.

The salon buffet opens 1 hour before the concert.
