BACH & MEIJAS

Anton Mejias (b. 2001) is a Finnish-Cuban pianist whose career has quickly risen to the top of the international scene. He is particularly known for his interpretation of Bach. He studied Bach’s Das wolhtemperierte Klavier I collection at the age of 10, which we will also hear in tonight’s concert.

Anton Mejias combines the rich emotion of Bach’s preludes and fugues with their revolutionary inventiveness.
