Airs de Cour – Music from hearts and courts

In 17th century France, there flourished a unique culture of lute songs. Katja and Olli perform a selection of this repertoire along with pieces for lute solo. In this concert the affects vary from feelings of sadness and despair to being enchanted by nature and falling head over heels in love.

Among the composers in this concert are Charpentier, Lambert, Marais and Moulinie.
