The legend of the Finnish film world, Siiri Angerkoski, left Tauno and Ansa far behind with over a hundred roles in her career. During her life, she experienced both the rise and fall of Finnish film and the great upheavals of the nation. In the minds of Finns, Siiri is forever the sparkling, rolling pin-wielding Justiina. Behind the role of a comedian, there were also bitter tears and fervent dreams. The eloquent, rascal Angerkoski never stopped hoping for that “proper role”. The role in which she would once again be able to show her talent and be seen as a whole person.
